The IAWG is a leading regional forum for networking, technical information sharing and coordination. The IAWG is based in Nairobi with a regional focus on the wider East Africa Region (East, Central and Horn of Africa).

What we do
The IAWG provides a forum for regional organisations NGOs, the Red Cross and UN Agencies - to enhance information exchange and regional coordination in order to respond to emergencies in a timely and cost efficient manner. Our work is done through the various sub working groups which include;
The food security and nutrition (FSNWG) and the cash learning partnership (CaLP) are thematic groups that have independent secretariat but are affiliated to the IAWG. The Security and Logistics sub-groups meets whenever there is a demand but continues to hold informal interactions.
