60 second interview with Byron Nicco Osiro, Sales Area Manager Eastern Africa, Danoffice IT
What is your company’s involvement in humanitarian aid and development strategy at present?
How your products/services help aid delivery and development strategy?
Our clients are always in need of doing more with less, more with less money and less resources. Through our concepts of standardization and automation, we help our clients to focus on their core mandate without worrying about their infrastructure spend.
How are you represented in Sub-Saharan Africa?
We have a Regional Office in Nairobi Kenya that focuses on supporting our local clientele in Sub Saharan Africa. We strive to understand our clients’ needs in the region and then innovate solutions that meet their requirements. Our priority in the region is to understand our clients’ needs in the region and also local needs to be able to develop locally acceptable products, solutions and services.
What is the latest product/service you offer/looking to offer in Sub-Saharan Africa?
Biometric Registration kits and Solar powered laptop bags and accessories
What do you think are key trends and future developments in the sector? What are the keys actions you think need to be implemented in Sub-Saharan Africa?
Given the number of disasters in the region, the most important action is to support the humanitarian aid organizations to enforce rapid response. With this implemented our partnership with these organizations will save time and lives as well.
What trends do you see for humanitarian aid and how does your company prepare for the future?
Most humanitarian aid organizations are currently experiencing budget cuts and are required to do more with less. Our task is to support these agencies with standardized and innovative IT equipment that makes them more efficient.
Why do you think it’s important for your company to build partnerships and improve relationships within and across sectors?
If we don’t listen to the client needs we end up developing products that don’t fit? Partnerships and relationships help us understand the customers’ pain areas and develop solutions to solve the same.
